​The National Media Council (NMC) announced its participation in the 5th edition of the Dubai International Government Achievements Exhibition 2017. The event is being organized under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE, Ruler of Dubai, under the theme of "National Governments, Global Achievements" from 2-4 April, at the Dubai World Trade Centre.

Through its participation, NMC will highlight its services and role in developing the media industry in the UAE, by creating a suitable environment in accordance with the highest international standards for entities that provide media services, in line with the distinguished position of the UAE.

In addition to its participation in the Exhibition, NMC will work to strengthen cooperation and unify efforts in order to contribute to the success of the event by highlighting the key achievements of government entities, which will enhance the positive reputation that the UAE holds internationally, while presenting the UAE's experience and sharing its best practices.

The participation of NMC reflects its commitment and the key role it plays in supporting the development of the country, by showcasing national achievements locally and internationally, and exchanging experiences in efforts to raise the quality of public services and government performance.

During the event, NMC will demonstrate a range of smart services that have been designed to reflect the rapid advancement of the local media sector.

The NMC pavilion will feature a dedicated section for the Emirates News Agency (WAM), which will present various digital services in an interactive way for visitors to experience.

As part of its ongoing commitment to distinctive customer service and happiness, NMC will also showcase a smartphone app that measures people's 'happiness levels', and is linked to a number of indicators and statistical data.

As part of NMC's commitment to streamlining and providing convenient services in light of e-transformation, the Council will provide the opportunity to members of the local media to be certified during the event.

The Dubai International Government Achievements Exhibition is an international platform for a wide range of decision makers, high level government officials and public affairs experts to come together to exchange knowledge, insights, learnings and best practices.
